Authority:
To give orders and instructions to officers, ratings and other persons on board in pursuance of his duties.
Qualifications:
STCW95 Reg. III/2, valid health certificate,all certificates STCW95 as applicable.
Flag State endorsement for required certification for particular rank as per vessels Flag regulations
Additional certifications required for specific type of vessel and particular rank as per employer/charterer requirements
Additional certification required by charterers which is subject to change, depending on the trading area and type of vessels operation
Vaccination depending of vessels trading area.
3rd Engineer
Among other technical duties, he is responsible for the pollution prevention in the engine departement.
